About Us
The Huntingdon Learning Centre is an independent non-profit community organization in literacy. It offers the population of the MRC of the Haut-Saint-Laurent workshops in both French and English, basic reading, writing
and mathematics.
Given the specificity of the region, the Centre also offers second language courses in French and English for its population and newly arrived citizens to the territory.
Our organization is recognized by the ministère de l'Éducation, du Loisir et du Sport (MELS), the direction for adult education and community action. MELS has been our principal sponsor since 2003.

Emploi Québec, through the local employment centre (CLE), has been an important partner since the very beginning of the Centre, the Centre along with many of its students benefit from the program Interagir.
The Centre works in partnership with the two school boards of the region, Vallée-des-Tisserands and New-Frontiers, to offer quality lessons in both languages.
We also work in partnership with other community groups in the region (defence of rights; food banks; computer science; mental health; employment; domestic violence; social housing; etc.) to help our students find the right
solutions to their particular needs.
